Introducing Automated Analysis On Feedback

Research has been around for a long time with many different techniques used and skills needed in order to extract the hidden insights within data. It can be as much of an art as it is a science, but whichever way you view research you know it takes time… lots of time. Traditional research methods are usually measured in weeks if not months. Then, when you finally have all the responses or data, you still need to manually sift though it all, reading hundreds of answers to your questions.

This no doubt also takes many days to complete, for small projects usually around a week. Wouldn’t it be great if you could analyse your responses in half the time it usually takes, a quarter of the time, a tenth of the time? Wouldn’t it be great if analysing your results took minutes…, seconds…?

Using the capability of proprietary BigTeam brainpower (a lot of our own development and mathematical magic) and IBM Watson’s artificial intelligence we are introducing automated analysis on feedback results of any project in just seconds. Whether you ask a few select colleagues for input or thousands of employees for feedback, we deliver the top 10 most important themes found in your responses. The best part is that as soon as people complete their survey you can start going through and reviewing the results. The themes are generated after just a few people have finished the survey and will update automatically as more answers get submitted.

For each theme we show how often the theme was mentioned (referred to as the count) and sentiment (how positive or negative people express a certain topic to be). Themes are colour coded green (positive), blue (neutral) and red (negative) to give you a quick and easy to understand visual sentiment cue. This helps you to determine what is and is not working in seconds. Closely related themes are also grouped together to give greater context around specific concepts. You can also take a ‘deep dive’ by clicking on a theme and reviewing the responses where only that theme is mentioned, giving context and perspective.

Our code wizards have also dramatically increased the performance of BigTeam’s analysis by implementing new developments to the way we structure data as well as more streamlined integration with IBM Watson that allows for your results to appear in near real-time. You should notice faster loading times throughout the platform, especially in the feedback analysis dashboard.

What does automated analysis on feedback mean and why is it important?

With this update we help everyone using BigTeam to become an experienced, expert researcher. This allows you to gain insights quickly and focus on what matters most, using the actionable feedback to make the right decisions and improve your work in a fraction of the time it would usually take. You don’t even need to worry about how it all works, we leave that up to your development team to know and for us to enjoy.

Create a project & send out the survey, sit back, relax and wait for all the hard work to be taken care of for you. Using BigTeam and our automated analysis and theme generation will change the way you conduct research and how you work.
